Yes! this is the beginning of the painting that one can see from my little 6"x6" blog study. After prepping the canvas I develop the color for the sky and apply this to the background giving me a sense of what the clouds will be up against, then the fun begins.... I'll be back later with more.

I have recently begun to mix up colors before I start working. I work small so it helps me to get a more accurate start. I'm not guessing.
