'WINTERS LIGHT"

With the sun setting and the shadows on the snow I new this would make for a good painting to do.
I studied my photo for a long time to understand just what happens with the glare of light and all the shadows it forms, it was at that point I started on the journey of giving this painting life. It is an original oil on canvas, a 32x36 gallery wrapped & painted on all four sides so no framing is needed.

There is something that I just love about after it rains, the sun is dropping out of the sky and the air has been washed clean that strikes a cord deep inside my me.  As far back as I can remember the fascination of reflections on the wet pavement,glistening light on rain soaked leaves, all this is magical to see and paint.
